Rebo Systems demonstrates the SMS-R1 at The Health & Safety Event.

The Health & Safety Event concluded on 2 May at the NEC in Birmingham, UK, after a successful 3 days of hosting the health and safety sector’s latest products, technologies and innovations.

Amongst them was Netherlands-based company, Rebo Systems, the specialist in industrial labels and signs. They showcased their revolutionary printer, the SMS-R1, which they believe could change the game for businesses looking for a DIY label printing solution.

“The idea behind the SMS-R1 is to make it an unobtrusive product that sits on the desktop and to make it as approachable to all people to create immediacy when they produce health and safety signs, instruction notices and things of that type,” said Clinton Church, Rebo System’s Sales & Marketing Manager.

“The main advantage of the machine is it prompts the user. It’s very, very easy to use.”

The Rebo team performed live demonstrations from their stand, where they showed the SMSR1’s unique functionality.

“It’s a kind of like an in joke in our business, this whole thing about lifting a lid up. So we’ve taken that away. Our cassettes slide in, and they actually pop out automatically,” Church explains.

“In addition to that, all of the adjustments, all of the features allow people to make changes to their job on screen, which is really important. We’ve made the footprint as concise as we can.”
