Magirus has secured a significant follow-up order from the Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) to supply 20 advanced Magirus AirCore TAF60-X remote-controlled firefighting units.

This delivery marks the second order in three years, expanding SEC’s fleet of state-of-the-art firefighting technology.

“Demand for remote-controlled firefighting systems and deployment robots is increasing significantly,” said Thomas Hilse, CEO of Magirus. “With the Magirus AirCore TAF60-X, we provide emergency services with a highly efficient, safe solution that offers variable application possibilities.”

The Magirus AirCore TAF60-X units, equipped with turbine technology, can deliver up to 6,000 litres of water per minute, reach throw distances of up to 90 metres, and be operated with high precision from up to 300 metres away.

Marc Kuntz, Director of Sales & Customer Service said: “For more than a decade, our firefighting and support robots have demonstrated reliable performance across the globe.” This innovative technology has proven effective in challenging scenarios, enhancing responder safety and providing strategic advantages in tackling fires and managing hazardous situations. The deployment of these units will significantly bolster fire protection for one of the Middle East’s critical energy infrastructures, ensuring the safety of over 36 million people in Saudi Arabia.
